London Broil on the Grill

I found myself with several London broils in my freezer because they were on such a good sale at the grocery store, so I needed to find a new way to cook them.

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs London broil
  • 1 cup marinade

Instructions

  • Marinade the London broil for at least an hour in a sealed plastic bag, turning over sides at least once (aka just flip the bag!).
  • Before putting it on the grill, bring the London broil as close to room temperature as you feel comfortable. I just take it out of the refrigerator and lay it on the counter for about 30 minutes.
  • I seared each side of the London broil directly over the flame for three minutes. This gets the pretty lines on it & seals in the flavor.
  • Then, I moved the broil over to the side of the grill, away from the flame to cook for three minutes on each side. The grill cover was closed immediately for each of these cooking times.
  • Lastly, I took the broil off the grill & let sit for five minutes before serving.

Notes

My broil was about 1 inch in thickness, so if yours is more, just add a little more to the cooking time. Also, the broil came out medium rare, so if you want it more well done add more time on the grill. I served with grilled asparagus & squash and it was delicious! It tasted like a leaner steak & it was budget friendly!
