My take on spaghetti bolognese is delicious, uses simple ingredients, and is friendly on your budget.
Since creating this website, I have really pushed myself when creating in the kitchen. I have never been one to follow a recipe to a tee and that will never change. However, for these recipes I share with you I am writing down what I do, so you can taste the same deliciousness I do!
Ingredients for Spaghetti Bolognese:
- spaghetti
- 1/2 pack bacon
- 1 lb beef
- 3 cloves garlice, minced
- 1/2 onion, chopped or 1 Tbs onion powder
- salt & pepper to taste
- tomato paste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup milk
- splash of white wine
I won’t focus on how to make the spaghetti, just the bolognese sauce.
Set a pot on medium-high heat.
Chop your bacon and put into pot. You want it to sizzle and draw out the fat for flavor. Cook about 3 minutes.
Next put the pound of beef into the pot with the bacon. Break up the meat into small pieces. Cook until beef is browned.
Now add your garlic, onion, and a pinch of salt & pepper. Stir. Cook about two minutes.
Add the can of tomato paste and beef broth. Bring to a slight boil, then simmer for about 10 minutes.
Next, add the milk and a splash of white wine. Stir & let simmer for at least another 10 minutes.
The longer this bolognese sauce sits, the more the flavors will combine.
Serve on cooked spaghetti, top with parmesan & Enjoy!
