This recipe came about because meatballs were on sale like EVERYTIME I went to the grocery store & I’m not one to pass up a good sale on protein!
There’s only so much spaghetti and meatballs one household can eat, so I had to come up with something a little different. Enter the hardest-to-name recipe yet. Seriously, I had no idea what to name these meatball creations. Are they calzones? Sliders? Mouth bombs?
No matter what you decide to call them, these meatball pocket sliders are delicious to eat & fun to make!
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup marinara sauce
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 Tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 8 meatballs, completely thawed
- 1 can biscuits
- 1 cup cheese, shredded
First, preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Then take one biscuit, stretch it thin, & lay one meatball in the center.
Top the meatball with 1/8 of the sauce and cheese.
Fold the edges of the biscuit around the meatball mix; making a sealed pocket around it.
Place the finished pocket slider on a metal pan.
Repeat for the remaining meatballs and biscuits.
Once done, mix butter, garlic, & Italian seasoning together in a small bowl. Brush the mixture generously over each pocket slider.
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Enjoy for dinner or take them to your next party for a fun appetizer!
