I love guacamole! Give it to me freshly made and I am in heaven. Let me make it at home and I am even better. Can you believe I have only been making it at home for a few years? I used to think something that tasted so good MUST be too complicated to make at home. How wrong I was!
This guacamole recipe is so easy and so simple, why wouldn’t you make it at home?
Ingredients:
- (2) avocados
- 1/2 lime, juiced
- 1 tsp. cumin
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- (1) roma tomato
- a pinch of salt
Start by cutting your avocados in half, lengthwise. Take out the seed.
Scrape out each half of the avocado and put into a bowl or container.
Mash avocado together with lime juice, cumin, onion & garlic powder. I like mine a little chunky, but if you prefer yours completely smooth – mash away all the chunks.
Next chop up the roma tomato and add to the guacamole.
Add salt and stir together.
Voila! You have made a fresh batch of guacamole dip in about ten minutes.
Serve with tortilla chips or with a meal of your choice.
To store (if there are any leftovers), use plastic wrap by pressing down directly on dip. Try not to leave any air bubbles or it will turn brown faster.
